Each charging bay is independent so you can charge as many batteries as you like, and they can all be at different depths of discharge. Each charging bay charges a single battery pack at maximum current until it is fully charged. It then automatically switches to trickle charge. Charging time depends on the initial depth of discharge of the battery; to fully charge a totally discharged battery takes about 1.5 hours.
