Lightweight portable staging
Portable staging reinvented. RATstands started
with a clean sheet of paper to develop a product which is quicker
to assemble and more flexible in use than any other staging system.
The large section aluminium frame gives enormous strength with very
low weight. Modules up to 2m x 1m are capable of supporting a load
of 7.5 kN/m2. Modules can be made up to a maximum of 8’ x 4’.
Handrails and all other accessories can be fitted in seconds anywhere
around the periphery of the stage.
The top surface is made of high quality poplar or birch plywood. Other
finishes are available to order.
Linking modules
The patented Speedlock system enables adjacent platform modules
to be locked together simply by turning a key inserted into the
top of the platform.
When not in use, each Speedlock is retracted within the depth of
the T slot which runs round the edge of each module. So there are
no protuberances to snag, and the T slot remains available for the
attachment of other accessories.
In operation, the Speedlock extends to engage the adjacent module.
It then levels the modules and pulls them together, in one continuous
movement.
Because the Speedlock engages in the T slot of the adjacent module,
rather than in a specifically positioned receptacle, adjacent platforms
do not have to be aligned with one another.
Legs
The corner brackets accept 50mm square or 48.3m round legs. The
legs are rigidly locked in position using the an integral quick
action lever.
Storage and moving
Any platform module can be converted to a trolley by attaching
castors instead of legs.
