” I brought the Alto Stand and couldn’t be happier with it- it’s highly durable, sturdy and practical. The friction locks hold it in place so no matter how much it’s weighed down by music it won’t budge. Highly recommend to all musicians. “

Alexandra began violin lessons at the age of thirteen with Lucy Cowan in the Scottish Borders. She led the school orchestra and also the Scottish Borders Youth Orchestra over their tour to Germany in 2013. Alexandra also led the Edinburgh Napier University Orchestra and in her final year, performed Mozart Concerto No.3 with the orchestra. Having graduated, Alexandra then performed the Bruch Violin Concerto with the Edrom Casals Centre (formerly The International Cello Centre).

As a keen chamber musician, Alexandra formed the Forth Trio, together they have performed at the Edinburgh International Festival and at The Scottish Arts Club. Together they have attended the Edrom Casals Centre chamber music course and The Dartington International Festival. Forth Trio were prize winners at the Edinburgh International Competition Festival. In February 2020, Forth Trio toured to Holland where one of the concerts was broadcast on local TV.

Alexandra has attended masterclasses and received tuition from esteemed artists such as Thomas Gould, Nathaniel Vallois, Catherine Yates, Sebastien Mueller, Gina McCormack and Cecily Ward.
