Jonathan Tang
Jonathan Tang is a freelance classical and jazz trombonist, arranger, and educator who is currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jonathan is also currently a second-year Master’s of Music student at the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio where he studies Trombone Performance with Timothy Anderson. During his attendance at the conservatory, he’s had the opportunity to learn orchestral literature at a very high level. He’s even become a founding member of the Queen City Trombone Quartet. This distinguished quartet is composed entirely of Masters students from around the country.
In addition to his musical studies at CCM, Jonathan is also the founder and head instructor of the Cincinnati Brass Academy. This is a private music studio for all brass instruments and students from early high school to graduate level brass students. And although he is currently based in the United States, not all of students are. His students are also located internationally in countries such as Canada, South Korea, and Singapore. He hopes to provide brass instruction to students all across the world through his online academy.
In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys powerlifting and weight training, cooking, recording, photography, and playing video games.
