London Symphony Orchestra
The London Symphony Orchestra is made up of nearly a hundred talented players who also perform regularly as soloists and in chamber groups at LSO St Luke’s London, Islington. The orchestra perform over 120 concerts a year and has recorded music for films including Philomena, The Monuments Men, four of the Harry Potter movies including The Deathly Hallows Parts I and II, The Queen, The Ides of March, Star Wars Episodes I–VI, Superman, Nanny McPhee and hundreds more.
It was the first British orchestra owned by its players, and its fiercely independent ethos has never waned. It was one of the first orchestras to make gramophone records and film scores; today it has more recordings to its name than any other orchestra in the world. Founded in 1904, the LSO is the oldest of London’s symphony orchestras. Sir Simon Rattle is currently the orchestras music director.
The LSO have been a long standing customer of ours and they still use the RATstands Trio4 Radio DMX Music Stand Light System and Concert Conductor’s Stand.
