Massimo Albanese
Massimo Albanese completed his studies at the “Don L.Milani” high school of music and dance in Acquaviva delle Fonti (BA) with Prof. Anna Bavaro, and after having been admitted to the three-year composition in theclass of Maestro Gianni Nazareno France at the “Niccolò Piccinni” Conservatory of Bari, he began his studies of Clarinet at the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory of Music in Milan in the class of M ° Luigi Magistrelli. He attends, annually, specialization courses with Maestro Leonardo Cattedra (clarinet teacher at the “Stanislao Giacomantonio” conservatory in Cosenza). He assiduously participates in numerous national and international competitions performing as a soloist, in chamber ensembles, in orchestras, and is always ranking among the very first places; among the many we find the international competition for clarinet “Saverio Mercadante” in Noci (BA, Italy) which saw clarinettists of international fame take part in the jury; in 2018 he reached second place (first not assigned) in the national clarinet competition “The new talents of the Clarinet” in Fabriano (AN) organized by the Italian Clarinet Academy of Camerino, whose president is Maestro Piero Vincenti.

First solo clarinet of the Liceo orchestra mentioned above and by him attended, with whom he has held several important concerts, recently with Maestro Giovanni Pelliccia (live on television on Tg Norba 24), and competitions such as the one at the “San Carlo” theater in Naples. First solo clarinet of the Alta Murgia Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Domenico Nuzzaco. First solo clarinet of the “Great Italian Orchestra” directed by Maestro Pietro Palmisano with whom he holds concerts in
all Italy. Already the first solo clarinet of the Youth Orchestra “Bottega dell’Armonia”
conducted by Maestro Leonardo Cattedra with which he participated in important musical reviews including the “8th Venezia Music Festival 2017” organized by MusikReisenFaszination in Jesolo (VE).
Former first clarinet of the “Apulian Youth Orchestra” conducted by M °Teresa Satalino in collaboration with the first parts of the Petruzzelli Theater in Bari. He was a clarinet and piano teacher at the “Centro d’Incontro Musicale” music schools in Sannicandro di Bari and Cassano delle Murge and “Emilio Rivela” in Acquaviva delle Fonti.He currently teaches at the “D.A.M.A” music schools of Sesto San Giovanni (MI), “Still Rocking” of Cernusco sul Naviglio (MI). He is the founder of the “MassimoAlbaneseAcademy”. He performs on several occasions and recently, winner of the competition, he held a concert at the Circolo Unione di Bari (whose headquarters are located inside the building of the Petruzzelli Theater in Bari). He is often invited in particular situations such as conferences and presentations, the last time taking part in a concert organized by the Italian
Union of the blind and visually impaired. In 2017 he participated in the auditions for the Euyo European Orchestra at RAI for the position of First Clarinet, receiving acclaim from M ° Fabrizio Meloni (First solo clarinet of the Teatro Orchestra and of the Filarmonica della Scala). In 2019 he performs the Mozart concerto for clarinet and orchestra k 622 in the presence of Maestro Alberto Veronesi, after which he was invited to play in the orchestra for the 65th Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago. In 2020 he publishes his collection of sheet music for piano solo “Ti Racconto” in a book published by Edizioni Musicali Momenti and begins the “TiRaccontoTour”, thanks to which he brought his music to many Italian
cities.
