Description
The Conductor’s Chair by RATstands has been expertly designed, using our 46+ years of experience, to offer better comfort and flexibility than other chairs on the market.
The chair encourages good posture and provides superior comfort and support during concerts and practice sessions. The chair’s narrow back provides support where it is needed without hindering the Conductor’s arms, shoulders, and rib cage. The backrest offers support in the upper lumbar region which encourages an upright posture. The horizontal seat with downturned front edges enables the musician to keep their feet flat on the floor for improved blood circulation. The chair features 2 adjustable footrests which will accommodate almost any leg position and offers relief to the back and legs.
Adjustable versions of the chair are available to allow the Conductor to alter it to their own requirements. The following versions are available: Non-Adjustable, Seat Adjustable or Seat and Leg Adjustable.
The height of the chair can be adjusted easily which allows it to stand level on an uneven or sloping floor, such as on a raked stage. The seat height can be adjusted between 646-759mm, giving the maestro better visibility of the orchestra. The seat position can be adjusted easily and independently.
The top-grade steel frame has a black anti-scratch powder coat for maximum durability and a sleek finish. The seat and backrest are manufactured from firm foam and upholstered with high quality, breathable, and flame-retardant fabric. The chair’s standard charcoal fabric is sophisticated and minimal. We offer a range of upholstery colours for a custom look to ensure you stand out on stage.
The Conductor’s Chair comes fully assembled. Multiple RATstands chairs and stools can be stacked vertically for compact storage.
All the chairs in the RATstands Professional Range are designed, manufactured, and hand finished in the UK. They are the preferred choice for orchestras, schools, recording studios and musicians all over the world and are built to last for many years.
