Originally developed for the demands of the opera pit, the Opera Stand has become a trusted tool for musicians, orchestras, theatres, and recording studios worldwide. Its design has remained virtually unchanged since its creation – a testament to its proven craftsmanship and enduring functionality.
This special edition stand celebrates that legacy while introducing a refined champagne gold finish. Its contemporary design offers a fresh alternative to traditional music stand styling, making it well suited to home and studio environments.
At the heart of the design is its acoustically neutral wire tray, developed to minimise sound reflection in orchestra pits. This same principle makes it highly suitable for recording and rehearsal settings, where clarity and control of the acoustic environment matter.
The stand’s off-centre stem and L-shaped base are defining features of its practical design. They allow musicians to sit or stand closer to the stand for improved comfort and ergonomics, while also reducing its overall footprint – an important advantage in home studios where space is limited.
The strong, rigid steel stem features a thumb-screw locking system for secure height adjustment, paired with a solid steel base that provides excellent stability. Rubber feet ensure reliable 3-point contact on uneven surfaces, protecting flooring while reducing movement and unwanted clatter during use.
The original stand’s most renowned feature is its integrated light system, designed to position illumination at the ideal distance from the music tray and precisely control it so it falls only on the score.
